Where Has the Time Gone? — Camp!

In addition to my vacation to the Cape and turning twenty-one this summer, I also had some other adventures…

I returned to Oxford Park & Recreation Summer Camp for my fifth summer. This season was a lot of fun getting to know some newbie counselors, playing with two of my favorite cousins who attend, and going on the travel trips. Our camp offers a unique camp experience for in-town kids 5th through 9th grade by taking field trips Monday-Wednesday, and being at a local pool/field complex Thursdays. The younger kids, 1st through 5th grade are at that same complex everyday except Thursdays, when they go to a local park instead. For six weeks, the other counselors and I are paid to manage, entertain, and watch the campers, while having a bit of fun ourselves. With a commute less than ten minutes, it’s a pretty good deal. My younger sister became a Counselor-In-Training this year which was also pretty exciting. Though, as the totem pole dictates, CITs are treated as unpaid slaves seeking a one-up to a job opportunity for next year, Shan did an awesome job with the kids! Below are some of my favorite pictures:
